What are the differences between Savu Simucube 3 and Simucube 2?
The difference lies in power transfer and quick release. The Simucube Savu wheel for the Simucube 2 wheelbase uses a rechargeable NiMH battery with a 2000 mAh capacity, while the model for the Simucube 3 transfers power wirelessly via the Link Quick Release.
Can I convert my Simucube 2 Savu wheel into a Simucube 3 wheel?
Yes. You would need to purchase the Simucube Link Quick Release and remove the battery from your Simucube 2 Savu wheel.
Do I need Simucube Link Hub?
Simucube Link Hub is required because it is the backbone of all post 2022 Simucube devices. It is what connects all products together with reliable connectivity that removes the possibility for electromagnetic interference.
The option including Simucube Link Hub is by default selected on the product page. If you already own Simucube Link Hub, select “excluding Simucube Link Hub”.
You only need ONE Simucube Link Hub for all your Simucube devices to work. So if you own Simucube Valo GT-23 or any ActivePedal, you DO NOT need to buy another Simucube Link Hub.
You do not need two Simucube Link Hubs!
How are data and power transferred?
Simucube Link Hub is utilized to transfer data for Simucube Savu SC2 & SC3. Power is transferred via the Simucube Link Quick Release for the Simucube 3 version and via a battery for the Simucube 2 version.
Can I use Simucube Savu with other wheelbases?
The Simucube 3 version of Simucube Savu can only be used with Simucube 3.
The Simucube 2 version of Simucube Savu can be used with any wheelbase with Simucube Link Hub. You will power the steering wheel with a battery and the data will be transfered through Simucube Link Hub.
