on track what changes in simucube 3

What SC2 does, SC3 does sharper.

1. THE FEEL

You can tell the moment you roll out the pits

New motor, new control algorithm. The Simucube 3’s force feedback feels more intuitive and sharper, a step above the Simucube 2’s in the kind of detail that’s hard to put into words but impossible to miss on track.

It’s the same golden-standard Simucube precision, taken to a new level.

2. LINK PLATFORM

One cable. Whole rig.

Simucube Link Hub is the heart of the system. Your Simucube 3 connects via USB to Ethernet Switch through Simucube Link Hub. This means your Simucube 3 Wheelbase, ActivePedals, and Link Steering Wheels are all galvanically isolated and protected from EMI.

3. SIMUCUBE LIGHTBRIDGE

Contactless power & data to the wheel

The Simucube 3’s Lightbridge sends power and data contactlessly. There are no pins, no connectors, nothing to wear out.

All your previous wheels continue to work. Simucube Wireless Wheels will connect via Simucube Link Hub.

4. CONTROL BOX

Dial it in mid-race

Force feedback settings too heavy during a race? Tone it down within seconds with the control box.

"Feedback feels sharper."

The Simucube 3 range is a clear upgrade over the Simucube 2. The new hardware feels better, especially with the improved quick release. The redesigned software is far more intuitive and user-friendly.

Most importantly, the force feedback delivers sharper, more detailed sensations, making it easier to read the car and drive consistently. Added adjustability also allows a setup closer to the feel of a real GT3 car.

"More precise, realistic, and immersive."

The Simucube 3 delivers force feedback that feels more precise, realistic, and immersive than ever — closer to a real race car. With the intuitive new Tuner, zero-flex quick release, and advanced control box, Simucube has truly raised the bar for wheelbases. Again.

"Big step up from Simucube 2"

The first thing that I noticed is that the wheelbase instantly feels very accurate, which is a big step up from a SC2. I have been very happy as soon as I set it up. I was instantly quick with SC3, which is very important. Simucube 3 feels exactly how you want it to feel, which is the beauty of it. When I want the settings to feel like a real racing car, I manage to do that quite quickly with the settings.

Frequently asked questions

No. The SC2 remains a current, fully supported product with ongoing software updates, customer service, and spare parts availability.

If you want a proven, standalone wheelbase that works out of the box via USB, the SC2 is still an excellent choice. If you want state of the art technology with the a more precise and refined force feedback experience, Simucube 3 is the better choice.

Yes. Simucube wireless wheels connect through the Link Hub. USB wheels and third-party 70mm QR wheels work with standard adapters. You can also add Link Wheels later for wireless power and data via Lightbridge.

You may choose between using an adapter with the SC2 Quick Release or purchasing Link Quick Releases and attaching them to your steering wheels.

Yes. Your ActivePedal already came with a Link Hub, so you don’t need to purchase another Link Hub. You will need an ethernet switch (any will do). This way you can have multiple devices connected solely via one USB. If you have a set of 3 ActivePedals and one Simucube 3 Pro wheelbase, it will register as one USB only on your PC. This is beneficial for you because it reduces the amount of failure points and ensures professional level stability and connectivity.
