“Jesus christ, this is incredible”
“Coming from a belt driven wheelbase connected to my computer desk to building out a rig with full simucube gear was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. It felt extra real.”

Meet Aidan Williams
Hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, Aidan is an avid sim racer who’s been in the game for 3 years and he drives mainly Formula cars in the Formula 4 and SFL series.
He’s a big VR enthusiast, which goes hand-in-hand with sim racing and he loves that he’s able to race on the same tracks as real F1 pilots, and in some situations even meet them on track!
Before Simucube, his wheelbase base didn’t feel that realistic, pedals felt cheap, and braking consistently was a challenge. He also raced on an office chair.
Previous setup
Hardware
- Belt-driven wheelbase
- Load cell and hydraulic pedal setups
Limitations
- Non realistic feeling
- Inconsistent braking
The challenge
“It felt non-realistic and I couldn’t consistently hit braking points”
Lacking realism
Realism being a sim racers dream, Aidan felt like there was more out there. His current setup wasn’t making it feel realistic.
Inconsistent braking
With the pedals of his old setup, Aidan kept missing braking points and the overall feeling was inconsistent, slowing him down.
UPGRADING TO SIMUCUBE
It felt extra real
“I laughed out loud the first time I turned and hit the brakes with my simucube setup. It felt so real and my immersion was increased.”
Aidan finally upgraded to Simucube searching for as realistic an experience as possible. After a ton of research on YouTube and seeing real life drivers talk about how realistic Simucube equipment is, he pulled the trigger.
The moment he realized Simucube was the real deal was when he first pressed the brake pedal on the ActivePedal. He was now able to brake consistently, hit his brake points, and have a realistic sim racing experience. He mentions how it’s worth every penny because you won’t need another setup for 10+ years.
Inside Aidan’s rig
“It is worth the price if you can afford it. You won’t need another setup for 10+ years.”
