This means setting the <abbr title=\"A calibration feature that trims raw input signal so that in the resting position the game input stays 0% and and in maximum input game sees 100% input.\">dead zones<\/abbr> and converting the force\/position to simulator input by linear or custom curve method.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/simucube.com\/app\/uploads\/simucube-docs\/site\/ActivePedal\/Software\/assets\/inputmapping.png\"><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"role-effect-on-simulator-input-mapping\">Role effect on Simulator input mapping<a class=\"headerlink\" href=\"#role-effect-on-simulator-input-mapping\" title=\"Permanent link\">\u00b6<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>If the ActivePedal role is configured as brake then the info on how hard the pedal has been pressed is sent to the simulator based on force.<\/p>\n<p>If the ActivePedal role is configured as throttle or clutch then the info on pedal press is sent to the simulator based on the position of the pedal.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"dead-zones-forceposition-input-range\">Dead zones: Force\/Position input range<a class=\"headerlink\" href=\"#dead-zones-forceposition-input-range\" title=\"Permanent link\">\u00b6<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Force\/Position input range slider sets what is the 0% and 100% force\/position sent to the Simulator. This can also be set from a curtain which is seen on force curve. This is done by dragging the top\/bottom or left\/right -side of the curtain. This allows setting deadzones before pedal press is activated in the simulator.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mapping\">Mapping<a class=\"headerlink\" href=\"#mapping\" title=\"Permanent link\">\u00b6<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The force\/position data can be sent to the simulator directly by using linear mapping or it is also possible to customize how the force\/position data is sent to the simulator by selecting &#8220;curve mapping&#8221;.
