Driven DynamiX is an engineering and research company in Austin, Texas, founded on a single goal: to build a racing simulator so precise that the line between simulation and reality disappears. Mechanics, electronics, firmware, and software — all developed in-house, as one platform.

That rig now lives at Simucube’s headquarters in Tampere, Finland — flown in from Austin, assembled here. Three companies came together. Driven DynamiX, Simucube, and Genelec fit because they’re the same kind of company: engineering-led, building in-house to their own standard, refusing to ship anything that fakes its part.

It runs on Driven DynamiX’s motion platform, a Simucube 3 Pro wheelbase, Simucube ActivePedals, and a Simucube steering wheel — the BavarianSimTec Delta Pro SC — with a custom Genelec sound system built for the cockpit. It’s one of the most complete motion simulators in Europe.

DDX Precision is motion, feel, and sound working as one

The DDX Precision is a reference-grade motion simulator, built for the places where fidelity isn’t optional — professional driver training, race team development, elite simulator centres, and drivers who want the most immersive seat in sim racing. It reproduces what a driver feels in a real car: braking load, chassis rotation, suspension compression, the moment grip begins to fall away.

Built to one principle: if the motion isn’t what the car is doing, the rig hasn’t done its job.

DDX Precision has three things working as one: motion, feel, and sound. Driven DynamiX builds the motion. Simucube builds the hardware the driver feels. And for this particular rig, Genelec builds the sound.

Motion that’s true to a real car

For the drivers and teams who train on it, the DDX Precision is a development tool. When using a simulator to prepare for real race weekends, the motion must be accurate, not dramatic: not exaggerated movement, but true 1:1 fidelity.

The software reads the physics coming out of the simulation and reproduces it in the real world, so changing cars changes the feel — suspension, weight transfer — with no per-car tuning.

The enemy of that is delay. Conventional motion arrives a beat after the car, and at the limit a beat is everything. DDX PreActiv, the company’s predictive system, anticipates the car’s behaviors instead of reacting to it, holding telemetry-to-motion latency to around four milliseconds. Through slides, grip changes, and oversteer, the motion stays in sync with the car.

That feeling has a mechanism behind it. The motion tells the driver what the car’s body is doing. The wheelbase and pedals tell them what the tyres are doing, and the tyres are what a driver corrects on.

Simucube builds that hardware: wheelbases, pedals, steering wheels, engineered around one obsession: feedback that’s true to a real car, not an approximation of one.

The simulator professionals train on, built on Simucube hardware

Nothing rounded off, nothing invented: the force the physics produces is the force the driver feels. For a rig used to train professionals, those forces aren’t decoration. They’re the data the driver carries back to the track. In a rig built this way, the driver doesn’t feel the simulator. They feel the car. Nothing between them and the drive. Driven DynamiX didn’t compromise on the hardware. Accurate enough to train on. Durable enough to trust race after race.

 

Holding it all together is the part nobody in the cockpit should have to think about. Simucube hardware connects through Simucube Link Hub, one connection to the PC, carrying the wheelbase, pedals, and steering wheel, and runs through Tuner 3.0: automatic profile switching per game, firmware updates in a single click.

The steering wheel is the contact point. It mounts through Simucube Link Quick Release — with LightBridge inside, power and data cross the join contactlessly. No wires, no slip rings. Nothing between the wheelbase’s force and the driver’s grip.

Genelec sound, engineered for the cockpit

With the motion and the feel settled, the sound was the part left to solve and it had to be as honest as the rest.  

So, Simucube brought in Genelec, the Finnish company that has built active studio monitors since 1978, trusted in professional recording and mastering rooms precisely because they reproduce sound without adding anything of their own.

Genelec had never brought mastering-grade audio precision to a sim cockpit — until now. What they built here is a first for the world of sim racing. Sound placed in the room around the driver, not in their head. It tells where things are.

Nothing added, nothing hidden: the sound the recording contains is the sound the driver hears.
